If you're ready to start a family, you just do. And then you deal witht the scheduling as time goes by. It's really not that hard. Both my husband and I work full time plus he volunteers. We are VERY VERY busy, but it's a lot of fun actually.

You get organised. Personally, I negotiated working part time hours and found a good child minder. When the job didn't work out, i set up on my own and worked very weird hours around the kids being at school and nursery (and asleep! LOL!)

That was easy for me. I started my own business, three of them actually, so i could have my childen with me at work. And once you have kids there really aren't a lot of other obligations that seem that important, besides school and work.

You just do it. Once you are pregnant, you have nine months to make the necessary changes to prepare for the new arrival. I started working from home when I had my daughter. I had already graduated from college before I even got married.
