developers are begining to move away from PS2 and into the next generation

if you ask me you should get Skate if you want a skating game

If you cant afford a PS3 then yes.I have proving ground for the PS2 and its alot of fun and the PS2 is a great choice its a great system with over 2,000 games that are really cheap and fun but just to remind you that Sony is releasing a new model PS2 in the US next year that will be $99 so if you dont mind waiting you can get that.

Save up the extra $300 and get a PS3. Proving Ground is the worst Tony Hawk game to date. I was very disappointed by it, seeing as Project 8 was a classic. Neversoft (creators of TH series) seemed to burn themselves out designed the new Guitar Hero game, and didn't focus enough effort on Proving Ground.
