I am looking for temp work in a Embassy in DC, until I can land a government job ( gov jobs take forever to go through) Does anyone know of which embassies hire locals for employment?

Pretty sure that most embassies hire local employees. At our Embassies overseas, we have a lot of local hire employees. You will have to contact each individual embassy for a list of their openings though - or they may have a website. You will have better luck getting hired if you speak (fluently) the language of the country to whose embassy you are applying.

Contact the Human Resources Department of the embassies for vacancies.
