I think people should be able to eat what they want at their own expense. If someone eats a Big Mac meal supersized, then let them eat it and no one shouldn't say anything, it is their health not anyone elses. If someone doesn't want to eat certain things that is their choice as well. Maybe they have a health condition and can't eat it. People should mind their own business and move on to more important things in the world than what some eats or doesn't eat.

If they won't leave you alone for not eating the crap at the office party, it might be because they think you're dieting or watching your weight. If they brought food and snacks, they might not understand why you don't want to partake with everyone else. If they think its just because you're watching your weight, they might give you some trouble about that because clearly you don't need to watch your weight.
Now the "eat a burger" comment is just plain RUDE!!!! If that's how they're talking to you, then there is absolutely no excuse for their manners and you may tell them so!

I have always been a thin person it's genetic and after having 3 children have remained around about the same weight. I am quite often told by overweight women that I need to eat more and asked if I am anorexic. I politely tell them that my doctor is very happy with my weight and that thoroughbreds never fatten. That shuts them up real quick.
Being told you are too skinny hurts just as much as being told you are too fat

It' rude for anyone to tell another person what they should or shouldnt eat, but you and I know that fat people bear a much greater amount of insults than thin people, after all, thin is in and unless youre skeletal most people wont whisper about you behind your back, but let a fat person walk down the street and watch people react.

Society has decided it's okay to impose their opinion on the thin, because they think it's not insulting the skinny person. On the other hand, it's considered insulting to the fat person to tell them not to eat that cookie.
So, eat what you want, or don't eat. I feel for you - I'm not thin, but I don't like people telling me what to eat, either.

Double standards are everywhere.
Why is it ok for a woman to call her girlfriends b*tches, but men can 't?
Why is it ok for blacks (myself included) to call each other n*ggas, but white people can't?
Why can homo-sexuals call each Queens and Queers, but heteros can't?
They are all over the place. It doesn't make them right, but they are what they are.
My advice, just speak the truth no matter where you are. If a fat chick has an ice cream cone in one hand, and a cinnimon roll in the other and is crying about how big she is, tell her the truth and buy her some Relacore.

people think being skiny is ok and being fat is not. so by telling a skinny person to eat a burger it is almost like a compliment in a way to that person.... when you tell a fat person to stop eating it is considerd rude because society hasnt reached that stage.... its kinda like when people say quit smoking it isnt considerd rude.... my advise is to wach supersize me its a movie were a man eats McDonalds for 30 days. In the movie they touch on this issue as well as a lot of others... hope this helps!

I understand your pain. I have a food allergy and have a very limited diet. People make comments to me about why I don't eat this or that or ask me if I am on a diet. I think it is rude! It is none of their business and I would rather not go into details of my food allergy every time I am in social situation.

lol busy bodies..
Anyways, I think telling you to eat more is almost a compliment. Since it references your thinness. While telling someone to stop eating is rude, not only because it infringes on an active action they're doing (eating) but because you're referring to their weight which may be undesirable.
Umm yeah, hope that made sense Skinny!

the reason it is ok to tell a skinny girl to eat a cupcake, or donut, etc. because it is usually obvious that they try to watch what they eat. or they would be big as a house
