People sometimes presume as I did that they are saying Ma ma or Da Da but I think its just some noise that they do.
Its very cute and endearing and when you hear it you will be in raptures and arguing with your other half of which one the little one is actually saying. You will both convince yourselves that its your name that babe said first. Take it, Go with it... they will soon be saying lots more than that and its all tooo soon forgotten...
Enjoy every minute.
If you havent a video camcorder invest in one and have it on constantly. Its easy to edit the quiet bits out, but you dont want to miss anything. The time will pass so quickly, once baby is here, and if you haven't invested and got that stuff on cam you may not get over it....!!!

I have 3 kids, and all three of them said it at different times. All children are very different, and progress at different times, but comparing my three with other friends and family, it seems to have happened within the first year or slightly older!
I have a niece that didn't say either until almost 1.5 years old!
She said everything else but them 2 words!

To the previous answerer, NOT IMPOSSIBLE! You were probably just very advanced like my son, who said it at three months. He actually repeated the word 'Hey!" SEVERAL times at about four weeks, which just about made everyone in our extended family have a heart attack. LOL By three months, he could repeat, "I love you," and by a year old he was speaking in complete sentences and recitin ghis alphabet. He is now 17 and, yes, about to graduate number one in his class :-)
