Sure. The name is unusual, but it's not unknown. I did some secretarial work for a historical society, and the name Lucifer popped up in several public records from the 1700s and 1800s. Again, it's not a common name, but you'd hardly be the first person to use it.

I would unless the parents actually said they named him after the real lucifer. I can't understand why people play with such serious issues like actually using the '666' in their name or on their license plate. I do not find it amusing at all.

I know this is way beyond the remit, but the name Lucifer means "bearer of light", so it's hardly a sinister name without the christian defamation factor.
