My guy took me on our favorite hike and ran behind a tree and said "come here, look its a frog!" so I ran over and he whipped out the ring. I dont really remember if he even asked or not but of course it was a yes. We laughed for about 10 minutes.

I think I answered a question similar to this, but I'll share my story again anyway. David and I have been together for almost two years...and we talked about marraige before so we knew. I had already had the ring for a few weeks and we had already told my family, but he still wanted to propose (even though I already proposed to him). So after a few botched plans of his, this is how it happened
This year is our first Christmas in our own place together, so I was not going to let it go by without our own tree. We finally found one we both like (artificial...he's allergic to the sap in pines) And we spent the night decorating it. Of course he had to be cute and take some pictures, and he said to me that the angel was crooked...so I went and fixed it (perfectly i might add) and he's like, no its still needs to be fixed try the other side. I looked again and there was my ring hanging off the wing of the angel. I went and hugged him tight and he asked if I would be his angel.

We had discussed marriage before, and knew that we always wanted to be together, but I never expected it so soon. He had made it clear that when he did propose, it would be when I least expected it.
For a couple weeks leading up to his proposal, he had been even more sweet and romantic. For example, the week before he surprised me with a candle light dinner. We spend every Friday together, but that day he and I weren't able to see much of each other, so he promised me a anything I wanted from the jewelry counter after we had dinner with a good, old friend. He wouldn't listen to my protests. At the jewelry store, we were looking around when he spotted a tanzinite and chrystal past, present, future necklace in white gold. It went perfectly with the ring I purchased when I graduated a few years ago. I loved it, so he told the lady behind the counter we had made our decision. As we were walking a little while later, he pulled me into his arms, and kissed me. After that he asked me if I would marry him =] It was quite spur of the moment, and perfect. He gave me the ring a short while later, and without knowing, he chose the very ring I wanted.

I'm a guy, disregard the chick in the pink hat, lol! ANYwho, my wife still jokes about how I proposed to her, or rather, where. I had been wanting to ask her for several days at Christmas time, and never could find time to be alone long enough, with all the family at our house and so forth. Finally, I said the heck with it, the night after Christmas, and told her I wanted her to come take a drive with me, and I ended up in the Food Lion parking lot in our car when I asked her! She still makes jokes about being the only person ever proposed to in a Food Lion parking lot! Oh, boy.

We were engaged 2 years ago (getting married in one month!!!). He wanted to propose on Christmas, but his family had talked him out of it (not because of me, because they thought it was cheesy to do it on a holiday!!).
Two weeks after Christmas, I was taking down the Christmas tree and there was an ornament I didn't recognize. It was a red metal box with a bow...by the way, I'm a total A-type personality, I know where all my ornaments are on the tree and this one was different!! So, when I questioned him about where the ornament came from, he told me it was from his grandmother. Inside the box was his grandmother's engagement ring that he had just gotten from his mom the night before.
We were in our p.j's and everything, and he proposed right then. It was wonderful!!!!!

I wrote down little notes of things about her that I think were special, special moments in our time together and why I loved her and had the 54 notes inserted into helium balloons. I then let them go in the living room and had another placed at viewing height with a note that had a pin attached and it told her to pop a balloon, read the note and move to the next. At the doorway leading out I had another balloon at viewing height that told her to open the bedroom door for a surprise.
I was waiting inside on one knee with the ring in a balloon in my hand and asked her to marry me. She was already crying before she opened the door from all the notes. She didn't think I had really been paying that much attention to our time together.
She said yes by the way. Oh... And she still has all the notes. She had put them in a book and brings it out now and then.

My fiance proposed to me on stage at our favorite bar. I know it sounds kinda bad.. "he proposed in a bar?!?!?!" But really you have to know the story behind it.
The house band is friends of ours and my fi hatched this grandiose plan several months before he popped the question. At one point during the night there is a song the band sings where the invite everyone up on stage. I always go up and sing during that song. When the song was over the lead singer came over and put her arm around me and said well I see sara (me) and I see your mom (on the ground at the foot of the stage) but I don't see Kyle where is he? (my fiance) . So he comes running up the stage and the singer says I think he has something to say to her.. she hands him the mic and he says something like we have been togther for just over a year now and we've had some good times and some rough times. And I wanted to know if you would mind spending the next year planning a wedding. Then he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Of course I said yes. Then we danced on stage to one of my favorite slow songs.

Proposed on Christmas Eve. We were doing last minute gift wrapping and she was stressed out. While she wasn't looking I got the ring out and told her how much she meant to me and I wanted her to keep me forever. She started crying (in a good way) and said yes. Of course, we stopped wrapping for a little bit after that and had; well you get the idea

My fiance and I were out christmas shopping at the mall one night and we split up so I could get half our list and he could get half. We met up in the food court and grabbed a quick bite to eat and then as we were walking back to the car he put his arm around me told me how much he loved me and handed me a teddy bear and said it was my early christmas gift. The bear was holding the box with the ring inside of it. We got to the car and he got down on one knee and proposed. People walking in and out of the mall to do their shopping were clapping and cheering. It was so sweet and soo funny. He kneeled in a puddle and his jeans were soaked from the knee down.

I took her apple picking. We were looking and pointing at various apples. When she went around a tree, I grabbed the ring out of my pocket and dropped to my knee. I then said "how about this one?" and held out the ring. She came around the tree and then got a look of pure joy and confusion and said "what are you doing!??!?" I laughed and grabbed her hand and said that I loved her, wanted to spend the rest of my life w/ her, and would she marry me? She said yes, and then asked what I was doing again! She was totally surprised....it was great! :D
