I believe in God mainly because it is what I was raised to believe in all honesty, my culture and background. Perhaps if I was raised in another time period or another place I would believe something different, but I wasn't.

Well there is a number of reasons and I'm going to be honest with you. I was born in a Christian home. We had Bibles laying around, not the Bhagavad Gita. So of course I was drawn towards the beliefs I was surrounded with. But now that I am an adult, I still believe in YHVH for multiple reasons although now I consider myself as a Messianic Jew. For one, Judaism is one of the oldest recorded religions, next to Hinduism. I have read the bible and have read prophecies that were fulfilled from thousands of years after the telling of them. I have seen prophesies fullfilled in the past 100 years that were written of 2,000-3,000 years ago. Some people just shrug it off, but I see truth in them. I find comfort in the philosophies of the bible and agree with it's morals. The number one reason that I believe in God is because of the salvation story. The Torah (old testament) tells countless stories of salvation from the story of Abraham, Moses, Joseph and on. All of these stories are foretellings of the coming messiah. Yeshua (Jesus) fits perfectly into the template. Perfectly. This is why I believe in YHVH.
Oh and for the record, I have looked into other religions and have taken classes on Philosophy of Religion. After learning of other religions, I still found the message that YHVH teaches as the most inspiring and truthful.

Even though I'm no bible thumper, lots of people and places that are in the bible did exist and have been proven to exist by science (such as Joseph who asked to take Jesus' body off the cross - they have found evidence that a man of that name existed in Jerusalem at the time). Does the same hold true for the Necromonicon? just asking cause I've never read - never seen a copy to be truthful.

1. Have you read the bible from page 1 to the conclusion?
2. Deny God all you want. I do not care. But remember this... God (Yahweh) does not deny you.
3. Was your "god" this loving towards you?
"God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful man to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in sinful man," (Romans 8:3 NIV)
But, I see your point...
If man does not have a God, why does man need forgiveness from sin since man did not sin against God which does not exist in the first place.
So man can save himself...
Man can be as a "God"
Living forever on his own power.
Not bloody likely... Watch or read the news sometime.
Then tell me that "Man" is inherently good.

The reason I believe in Yahweh is because I searched for Him and He revealed Himself to me. I do not know how to explain it in any other terms. God is a treasure, hidden from men, that must be searched out. He does not reveal Himself to people just to prove His existence or appease their doubt. It is a privilege to know God. There are so many that don't. We all have the opportunity, however. But many are to prideful and think they are to smart as to believe in something they cannot see. They seek a sign and none shall be given. God is not here to please men.

Answers show people believe what they hear when child. I never hear of USA religion until I come here. My lover is atheist and he tell me much. I see no reason to accept any gods. One is as good as another is what I see in the answers. That mean none are real.

From an atheist standpoint, it appears that faith allows them to deny the obvious.

I believe in God because, well, that's the God I dhoose to believe in. You can believe in any god you want... or none at all. True Christians know that just because you choose to believe something else that it doesn't make you evil or ignorant. It makes you human.

Just a minor point:
Zoroaster was the prophet of Zoroastrianism, not the God. That was Ahura Mazda.

none of those other gods have ever done anything for me. When I accepted Jesus into my heart as my personal savior, I began to see the world differently. I cant explain it, it just takes faith. Sorry I cant explain it better than that, you just have to see it for yourself to understand it. Let me ask you this. How do you know that dinosaurs existed? Have you ever seen one? only petrified bones right? Its the same way with God, you can see evidence of him in his handy work.
