I know how to use sounds through outer devices, but when I go though microsoft midi-mapper, theres nothing there. What would be the best solution? Is there a certain program I should get like reason that has these sounds and can be used in pro tools as well?

High end music software does this nicely, programs like Steinberg Cubase, Cakewalk Sonar, and so on. Nice but pricey, a few hundred dollars.

I assume you already have a MIDI keyboard and MIDI interface, most PC sound cards have MID hardware built-in, you just need an odd connector; if not you'll need a card, or a USB or perhaps firewire based sound and MIDI interface, like an Edirol UA20.

You can mix, edit and adjust your MIDI tracks in any of the high end packages. There are also free MIDI sequencers such as Anvil Studio, these are somewhat more limited but the price is right. Check out the first link below.
