I'm an 18 year old guy whos gonna turn 19 in two weeks and i like this girl whos 16. She doesnt turn 17 till May. We both live in Pennsylvania. I was gonna ask her out but I just wanted to know if it was illegal to have sex with her. How many years could I get in prison if her parents find out?

yes it is illegal, even if she agrees. My suggestion is to find someone your own age and to stop preying on younger gir ls.

I don't think it's morally wrong. I am 25 now and My current partner is 32 and you do not notice an age gap at all. When I was 16 turning 17 my boyfriend was 21. We have different laws in Australia ie. as long as you are over 16 its okay. I know in the US the laws are very different so I would be very careful. Daddy's can be very protective of their little girls (understandably) and most likely wont like the idea of a 19 year old guy having sex with his 16 year old daughter. Might be a good idea to sus out how the parents will feel about the situation. If they hit the roof then it's best you stay away.

No, it is not illegal. I know that for sure but I just googled it so you know for sure too... Pennsylvania 'The age of consent is 13 years of age when the oldest person (both must be over 13) is less than four years older than the complainant. for example... 13/(17 - 1 day) 14/ (18 - 1 day) 15/ (19- 1 day). The age of consent is 16 years of age in all other cases.' And I wouldn't say it's morally wrong. I was seeing guys in their 20s when I was 16. As long as you both have stuff in common it should be great. Good luck!

It depends on the state. Here in Iowa the legal age is 16. Pennsylvania is the age of consent is 13 years of age when the oldest person (both must be over 13) is less than four years older than the complainant. for example... 13/(17 - 1 day) 14/ (18 - 1 day) 15/ (19- 1 day).

The age of consent is 16 years of age in all other cases.

I believe you have a real dillema here. Not only do I believe it's morally wrong, but It is also illegal. It's called statutory rape even if she consents to have sex with you. She must be 18, & considered an adult.I'm sorry to give you this news but I don't think I would go down that path if I were in your shoes. You should go out & find someone who is 18 or older, especially if you plan to be sexually active.I have a sixteen year old daughter & I would probably strangle anyone over 18 who messed with her.Why don't you put yourself in this girls parents' shoes & see what they would want.Good Luck with this & remember a guy could get shot for messing with someone's "Little Girl".

16 is the legal age of consent in most states im not sure about penn though. i am in the same situation i have a 16 yo gf and i just turned 19. its not that big of a deal, america is just obsessed with being paraniod about child molesters..16 is not a child anymore. and 19 is not that old. who gives a crap. as long as your not in the relationship just for sex then its not imorall.

It appears to be the law in PA that she is over the age of consent for a relationship with a partner within four years of her own age. So you seem to be clean on the law, unless this was changed recently.

As for the morality, I don't think it's inherently morally wrong to have sex with a consenting girl who's 16; a lot depends on the specific circumstances, her and your maturity, and of course taking precautions for STD and pregnancy.

well, first of all. i can't believe that you're planning to have sex with her and you guys aren't even going out yet. plus, why are you even think about that. anyway, it depends on the state to see whether or not what's the age of consent. in some states, its 16, however, some states might raise it higher to be 17 or 18. you won't get sentence to jail if its a mutual thing and she's older the age of consent. however, i don't think that her parents will like the idea of you having sex with their teenage daughter. be a gentleman.

The legal age of consent in Pa. is 16. It would not be illegal for the two of you to have sex. Search legal age of consent. The states are listed in alphabetical order. There is also one that has the marriage laws and the ages in other countries.

I believe it would only be illegal if she was 15.. I am 15 and am dating and 18 year old guy, and i know that if we had sex and got caught my parents could charge him and he could go to jail. But the thing is, the parents would have to press charges, so I don't think you have anything to worry about.. plus she is 16

YES...very illegal. Penalties vary from state to state but if convicted you'll get to share a prison cell with pedophiles and child molesters.

Whether or not it's morally wrong is strictly opinion. As long as its consensual I don't think its morally wrong. Teenage girls mature alot faster than teenage guys do. Your best bet would be to win her parents over, as long as they don't find out your sleeping with their daughter and press charges than you wont end up in a jail cell with a funny guy named Bubu. If they turn out to be completely against you messing with their daughter than I advise you to find someone your own age.
