It could just be a tummy bug or the flu. You never know and none of us are doctors. I don't think you should take him to the hospital at this stage because they'll most likely send you home or make you wait for hours to see a doctor. Do you have a family doctor you could ring? Or is there a public health line you could ring? They'll do a full assessment and and see if you should take him to the hospital. Think about what he's been eating in the last 48 hours. Chicken? Meat? Salad?. He may have a 24 hour bug. Good luck. ...

He may be allergic to something in the chocolate syrup. Go to a natural/health food store and you can find chocolate syrup without so many additives. My question though is: If your son will drink milk without the syrup in it, why put it in? It's just empty calories, and bad for the teeth.

My 4 year old has his stomach upset whenever he has soy milk. So i would say it may be just that he is not able to digest the milk and chocolate combination. You are right, just stop giving him that.

no idea, but i'd carefully read the ingredients list on the chocolate milk (sadly, it's far from just chocolate and milk!). maybe it's a reaction to a particular additive in the type of chocolate milk you're using?

My son used to vomit from eating too much chocolate, so maybe he's sensitive to it.
BTW, chocolate binds to calcium reducing the bioavaiability of the calcium, so it might not be good to always feed kids chocolate milk.

My son does the same thing....I think that it clabbors (Sp?) on their stomachs.
You know how milk clabbors over in a bottle when it sits i think that is what happens to their stomachs.
Does your son get hyper after drinking it and maybe start playing then gets hot then throws up?
That is what always happens to my son. He knows that this will happen but he still drinks it. He is 6.

*shrug* Maybe his stomach just can't handle the chocolate milk. I don't know. Its odd that he can handle everything else but not that. Like you said, you stopped giving it, so I guess it doesn't really matter.
