What about spending hours discussing something that you are sure doesn't exist? Doesn't that seem a bit silly?
Just a thought....

Whoa...did I mention God, or Christianity?
No...I simply asked if fighting a non-existent entity would be a sign of mental illness...
For instance, if I spent an afternoon fighting a non-existent boogy man I insisted was living in the closet, nobody would hesitate to claim that I had lost my marbles, would they?

Not really. Are you sure you really know what your talking about? If it were you who saw or talked to an entity then I'm pretty sure you would be quite convinced it was real. It's kind of hard to show you unless your in that persons shoes. So convincing someone that it isn't there is like telling a 5 year Santa doesn't exist.
Besides you still don't even know if it does or doesn't exist. You'd need proof to show it doesn't exist before calling someone crazy.

If discussing a non-existent entity, do Christians have a psychological illness? Atheists (a minimum of those i comprehend) don't have a psychological illness, we merely communicate approximately it for the reason which you men rigidity it on us. Does talking approximately Homer Simpson, how he's so cool, be seen a psychological ailment then? i'm no longer scuffling with against your God, because of the fact how am i able to if he would not exist? i'm in uncomplicated terms scuffling with against you people, who attempt and shove your God down my throat. perhaps you're getting at a loss for words with that? And in case you say atheists asking questions approximately God, it is in uncomplicated terms a debate technique, asking a question that reasons you men to think of, yet regrettably, it would not seem to artwork that properly. Do you have a psychological ailment then?

How does asking people to use there minds constitute as fighting a non-existent entity? I just want you to see and actually examine all the facts and arguments on all sides before you go choosing this silliness.

Fighting for a non-existent entity sure is.
Your "thought" conveniently ignores the obvious fact that we're not arguing against "god", we're arguing against people who believe in god, and who are typically as dishonest as you just were.
Do you honestly believe that if there were no believers, we atheists would still come here and argue that there's no god? Of course you don't. You know better than to claim that atheists are "fighting against a non-existent entity", and you simply aren't moral enough to resist claiming it anyway.

Fighting against such an entity may well be a sign of such illness. Fighting against the belief in such an entity, however, is a form of fighting against such an illness. By your reasoning, psychiatrists are as mentally ill as their patients.

Yes. Fighting against people that want to advance the cause of imaginary beings is a worthwhile endeavor if you value freedom.

Suppose a racist came up to you and insisted that Black people have some kind of genetic defect that makes them inferior.
Presuming you're not a racist, you would say that this defect didn't exist, right?
Would you be mentally ill to try to convince this racist that this imagined genetic defect was a product of his imagination?

Tyranny is real, so we fight against it. Take "In god We trust" off money and "under God' off Pledge of Allegiance, then we need fight less.

I doubt even anti-theists see themselves as fighting against a nonexistent entity. I suspect what they're fighting against is you.
