Please tell me what your "Religion" is and what your main goal is on here? If you don't have a religion or any spritualality, why are you on here?

Thanks!

I am an Evangelical Christian. I first came on here to ask a few non religious questions and in doing so stumbled upon the R&S section. I began answering questions and got a little hooked. I have came close to giving it up on several occasions when it seemed to be a huge waste of time. Then I will get a best answer and the asker will say that I made them see something that they had never thought of or things to that effect, and I'm hooked again. If I can make only one person every now and again, take a second look at some of the lies that many have been taught to believe these days, any time spent will be well worth it. I'm aware that most of it falls on deaf ears but I just keep looking for that one person who is truly searching instead of being here only to mock and agitate. God bless!!

Non-religious, don't believe in any deity but I do believe in the spiritual realm

I like to hear all sides of an argument. I like to present ideas and thoughts that may or may not help someone else grow in their faith (even if I don't agree with their beliefs) by bringing up contrary viewpoints. I believe the only way to grow is through adversion. If we never question our beliefs, we never have a reason to grow and evolve with our understanding of the divine or our own lives. That's why I'm here.

That, and it's a fun way to pass the time.

LDS. I am here to clarify misconceptions about the Church and the doctrines contained therein. I cannot rest easy when I see flagrant errors being publicized. They need to be corrected. Fortunately, I am not alone in the endeavor. It is impossible to catch all the postings on this forum. I do what small part I can in the time that I have to do so.

Wiccan - I come here (as well as visit a few other R&S sites) to read different thoughts and views from various religions as part of my continued study of world religions.

Part of my path is to better understand differing paths. Sometimes someone else's viewpoint helps me to see things from a different angle...and sometimes I learn something I didn't previously know...and sometimes I just get a really good chuckle from something I read. ;) Regardless, different views do not change my personal beliefs, but rather help me to learn and grow as an individual and better relate to others from different spiritual systems.

Atheist. My main purpose is to waste time.
I'd also like to expand some minds while I'm at it.
And if I manage to convince ANYONE that maybe legislating religious beliefs is perhaps not quite fair to anyone who doesn't subscribe to their religion, then all the better.

I'm LDS and my goal is to see how many thumbs down I can collect for being a Mormon.
Actually I come here for the same reason Tonya does. But I am usually too late to answer a question and there is usually another Brother or Sister who has answered much more eloquently than I ever could!
Edit: See, I am winning the thumbs down race already! Sweet!

I am a Christian.
I am here to answer questions about my faith as honestly as I can, to the very best of my ability, in the hope that I can help people to learn what Christianity really is about...
I am also hear to learn what I can about other systems of thought.
It's been pretty interesting, so far!!

Daemonolatry. My main goal is just to meet new people and chew the fat about religion, learn, and to make people examine their beliefs and why they have them.

Best description of my belief is...

A Biblebeliever.

Purpose: By my answers I hope to help people understand the Bible. Because of churches twisting scripture to suit their own agenda, many people are very confused concerning the Bible.
What it means and what applies to them today is something every Christian needs to be able to please God.

So many say that you need to go to a Bible college to understand the Bible and that is just not so. God gave us a Bible we can understand without the need of a formal education.

Atheist- procrastinating school work. Stupid finals...

[canned answer] Just because we don't believe what religions have to offer doesn't mean we don't find them interesting. Take me, for example. I want to be a professor of religions.
