i'm from Colorado Springs and that i visit tell you that if the armed gaurd hadn't shot the gunman, he might have killed extra advantageous than the two he killed interior the vehicle parking zone. you won't be in a position to make sure one article and pretend to appreciate the full project. On that be conscious, i do no longer think all churches might desire to have armed guards, no. New existence Church happens to have a brilliant campus, and that's the reason that they had them. additionally be conscious that a similar gunman killed some human beings in Arvada, CO the evening earlier. consistent with danger if that they had armed guards, he by no skill might have made it to New existence.

Thats pretty obvious isn't it. There are some people out there today that don;t care were they are at, they just want to kill something or somebody, they think they are playing a video game. Any Christian is allowed to defend himself, and I do trust God to protect me, thats why God gave me the sense to protect myself, the armed guard saved alot of lives, some of them could have been kids, I commend the guard for doing their job. This is a crazy world we live in, and you better be ready to defend yourself. Jesus does love everybody, even the shooter who went wrong, but killing innocent people is not right, Thou shalt not Murder. We all have to make decisions in this world, we choose each day whether to live by the Bible or not. We choose whether to serve Jesus or not, live is about choices, The Bible says choosing Jesus will take you to Heaven, and thats definitely where I want to be. How about you, You have a choice to make, to Jesus or not, to go to Heaven or not, the choice is yours, think about it. Where does a man spend eternity after murdering a bunch of people at a Church no less??

If you read the article. they hired security after the first shooting. Seems reasonable enough. Other than that, big churches are going to have lots of cash on hand after passing around the plate. Easy pickens so security is a good idea.
As for trusting God to protect you, well that kinda defeats the whole "free will" thing doesn't it. God never said this world was perfect, man has free will, many choose evil over good, it is in our best interest to be smart.

More vain mocking...why do people ask questions like this when it is obvious that you do not know God and His reasonings.
Has it occurred that the security guard maybe WAS God's plan of protection?
Since we also know little of a church the size of New Life, I suggest a little more studying of this church might fulfill your curiosity a little more.

here we go again!!
it's LAW to have police officers, sheriffs, or even a contracted security company where there is a certain amount of people in one public area. churches still have to abide by the law.
research the law. the same for high school, college, the mall, work places, amusement parks.
LOL...having police officers in a public area means we don't trust God??????? oh my goodness people.
the CHURCH is a PUBLIC DOMAIN with an amount of over 50 people. even weddings have to have police officers or security guards. you really need to look up the law and know your rights.

The real question is why security at the mall shooting didn't take down that m-fer? The news said the incident went on for 6 minutes, and it would have to be a mile long mall for security to take that long to get there. Were they armed security in that mall? Are they well trained if they are armed? Do they even carry fire arms on their person? I bet if that kid was shoplifting, he would have had is butt kicked.

A church doesn't need an armed guard. As far as the church shootings are concerned, all I can say is that God does not promise that we will live to see another day.

Even as an atheist, I don't find that very interesting. Any event where there are thousands (tens of thousands?) of people, there are armed guards. Think of a rock concert or a football game.

Evil is never God's plan, and killing somebody who is positively trying to kill you or somebody else as an effect to the cause, is in my opinion, at least, not wrong. Try a little compassion...
