I have been researching careers in religion for about 4 years now and my conclusion has been that its an overmanned/womanned field. They have too many scholars and not enough openings.
What you are pretty much describing is a humanities degree, you can get an AA in humanities and find something to do with comparitive religion or something, like a journalist, linguist, or study the culture of that religion, or compare them, teach religion, get a business degree and start a God magazine (actually there already is a fantastic God-related magazine called "back to Godhead", you can research this and see how they got started) or a God-related store. . . religion is very broad.
But remember its a competitive field because its too overmanned/womanned.

Outside of teaching religion, philosophy or ethics, it would qualify you for an advanced degree. You still might develop an interest in the law and go to law school. Possibly archeology or history and follow that path.
Do what you have a passion for. The career will show itself.

Myself, as a practicing atheist I want to get a job as a youth minister in a nice church-and inform the pastor that I wish to teach my philosophy. After I get fired, I gonna sue and get my half million.

The best you could get would either be college professor or minister or something like that.
Depending on what branches of theology and religion you studied, you might be able to work in a library or museum or something similar. But that I think would be about it. I could be wrong though.

Great career choice. You don't have to do any real work. Just pretend to be pious and people give you money. If they have questions, just read them some meaningless babble from a book. And when they say they don't understand, you just say "have faith." What could be easier!
