I know you can access the internet on the PS3 if you have a wireless router, right? I have an outdated computer with too old of an operating system to use any of the music subscriptions I like. Can I use the PS3 to access and save subscription music and transfer that music to an MP3 player like a creative zen? How would I go about that if it is possible?
Thanks!

You can do it by installing Yellow Dog Linux operating system on the PS3 and use Rhapsody as your subscription service.

It would require some playing about, but yes, it can be done.

if you have a DSL connection then why dont you just hook it up directly via ethernet cable that came with the ps3? it'll be way faster...

but of the cable box is too far it doesn't matter cuz you can just enable the wireless capability it has its own built in wi-fi system meaning you can just mooch off the signals of your neighbors but it wont be SUPER fast

Yep, previous answerer is right - plug in USB keyboard and mouse, install Linux Yellow Dog and use PS3 as a very fast computer. It's free.
