You wanted a critique, so here goes...

Kicks are horrible, balance is worse than an 80 year old man with a walker, punches are pulled, not looking at your target, EVERY move was telegraphed, if you try to use ANY of this is a fight because you think you have taught yourself something, the very next lesson you will learn is that you CANNOT teach yourself, followed by a lesson in physics (unstoppable force meeting an "immovable" object), which will quickly be followed by a lesson in gravity.

If you truly want to learn martial arts, then you need to find someone reputable to teach you. This DOES NOT INCLUDE Joe Shmuckatelli next door who told you where to find the videos, this means a real school with real instructors, and real training.

Before you learn to run, you have to learn to walk. You can't just jump in the middle of the game and expect to be able to pull off 360% crescent kicks, reverse turning kicks, or any OTHER kick or punch without learning the base techniques, which are designed to make the more ADVANCE techniques effective.

how come you don't seek real instruction?.. if you want to learn on your own, for whatever reason .. I can appreciate that...but youtubing, and asking the MA section in yahoo is not the best way to try to improve... learning kicks and punches is cool, but what about blocking them when they come at you... but you are tryin to learn the "flashy stuff" without knowing the basics, and without a sparring partner what you are tryin to learn will get you hurt in a fight... find some good books and someone to learn with.... here are some tips... Never lean back with the top of your body when throwing a kick.. it is a great way to get knocked out.... first learn the front kick before trying the roundhouse (the front kick is vertical, the roundhouse is horizontal... there is what is called a 45 kick, which I am not a fan of).. get the basic mechanics down.... also your are throwing "arm punches".. they are fast, but the leg, hips and back are where most of the power comes from in punches.... I am not saying that that what you are doing is worse than sitting on the couch and eating potato chips, but if you are serious, about wanting to learn martial arts... you need to slow down and learn things right... good luck

Invest in some lessons. If you want to do it because you think it looks cool take up breakdancing, martial arts is for break-necking.

If you're looking for advice on Yahoo Answers 2 days after you started trying to teach yourself you need definite real-life instruction.

I've done martial arts for about 7 or 8 years and I can tell you that until you get a good martial arts base from learning one in real life, people's tips, instructional vids, and least of all Yahoo Answers will help you.

I know I sound like I'm coming down hard on you but this is the plain and simple truth.

Just go and get some REAL instruction.

you are very fast I would recomend Jeet Kune DO but from a real instructor. The first kick were those roundhouses? if so the leg that you balanced on needs to turn more. If you are in a left fighting stance and you kik with your right leg your left foot needs to face the left

Practice makes perfect for the people who say you can't teach yourself they are wrong someone start out without the trainer to start off with & most people didn't know how to fight until their first fight.
As for your video the 1 thing you should do is not to lead with your head when jabbing you will get a nasty upper cut that way

you have no technique. speed is okay but it's too general a kick. i had no idea where you really wanted to kick. it need to be more accurate. trust me kicks should not be wild but precise. maybe you should watch some vids on kicks or just go to a class where they can offer some lessons.

look try raising your leg a little higher, as for the punches do't force htem (same with kicks) just let them flow, you'll get it, do stretching before it all and work on balance first. Trust me it pays off

Kid;

You cannot teach yourself something that you do not know.

You have to find someone to teach you.

Don't play with this. You"ll get hurt.

Son, that spin kick on the iorning board looked lethal. Keep up the good work, you got some pretty mean jab action going on. I would think twice before scrappin with young jumping bean like yourself.
