Web MD has a symptom checker on it that I have found very useful!
1) the red cheeks can be from crying
2) There is a disease called 5th disease that is in the similar family as chicken pox but not nearly as serious that can produce these symptoms. My daughter had it. That explains the chicken pox response you got.
3) The areas you describe can be reacting to something she is touching or touches her skin. Hot areas show up first with problems. It could be a soap, laundry detergent or cleaner you use. It could be something you use on her. That explains the eczema response.
4) It's refreshing to see someone not panic & who welcomes advice so ignore the abrasive people!
5) A couple friends kids also had yeast infections which caused the same symptoms.
6) If the baby gets a fever or can't get relief go to the Dr. immediately. If you can give the baby an oatmeal bath (Aveno) makes a good one, or put calamine lotion on it I am willing to bet it will calm so she can get some rest, you can check WebMD & check with the Dr. Tell the dr. what kind of relief she did/did not get from the oatmeal/calamine treatment. No matter what's causing the problem these should be safe effective treatments. It may also give the Dr. more clues to what your dealing with.
Hope this helps.
Good luck

Could be the beginning of a childhood illness like chicken pox, Scarletina, if she has a fever, that should be it... so you're gonna have to take her to the Doctor or a free clinic/general hospital... otherwise her urine (acid) is staying too long in contact with her skin and you'll have to clean it all gently, and then coat with Vaseline and then baby powder on top of that. change her more often too. The hands part is what gets us...could be she touched something she is allergic to also... the red cheeks part could be that she is cutting teeth too which can cause a slight fever as well.. Poor thing! no wonder she's crying! Good luck!

Typically, skin conditions such as eczema have to do with poor dieting. Learn here https://tr.im/uYf1E
Eczema food triggers such as eggs, fish, peanuts, and soy are known to help reduce flare-ups, but this can vary from person to person. These foods may also exacerbate eczema because many people cannot properly digest the proteins, which causes an allergic reaction.

check out this website it sounds to me like your child has eczema. i would go to an allergist to find out what she may be allergic to. it could be food or enviromental. it could also be food sensitivity. my son had the worst eczema just like in the picture on the website. i was able to get it healed by eliminating all food (except breastmilk) and start from the beginning. just cereal (plain oatmeal) for a week, then one food at a time for a week and see what happens to the skin.
it was hard as bleep because i did it by myself. now that my son has developed more serious allergies i am seeing a specialist.
do yourself a favor and see an allergist. or you will find that your little girl will need to be slathered with prescription creams that could become harmful in the long run.
i had to use the creams when i was young and you have to keep getting stronger and stronger creams because the eczema adapts to it. the last time i asked my doctor for stronger cream he said he couldn't because it will damage my liver!!! i'm sure that the weaker creams were not good for my liver too!
i had to grow out of it and it was very very painful. most eczema is caused from allergies. if you find out what they are you can eliminate them and presto...you have a happy baby.
my son suffered from eczema for 5 months until i figured it out (you see an allergist and it will be less time) he is now 2.5 and absolutly no trouble with his skin.
good luck and i feel for you and your baby. it is very very difficult what you are gong through right now and i wish you all the best.
be sure to see the allergist soon because eczema can turn into a nasty bacterial infection which can be dangerous.

I will give you this site so that you can decide whether to rule this out or not. If so seek medical attention http://kidshealth.org/parent/infections/skin/roseola.html
another child hood illness could be chicken pox. At any rate consult a professional.

You should take her to the doctors. They will need to see it, before anyone can tell what is wrong. She could be allergic, or even have some kind of infection. Don't wait, you need some peace and quiet.

Sounds like eczema, but only her pediatrition can tell you for sure. If she is crying a lot she's obviously uncomfortable. Get her in to see her doctor.

Your child has allergies, hurry and get her tested, my grandson is allergic to cats, and peanuts and had all the same symptoms, we were told that he could go into Anaphylactic shock and it could kill him. cat dander is everywhere even if you don't have a cat, your family and friends can carry it on there clothes into your house, or you could pass someone in the mall that has cat dander on them. check it out asap just in case.

it sounds like "5th disease" or more comonly known as "slap cheek". That explains the fussiness and red cheecks . I would take her to the pediatrician to be sure however
