why do some people torture animals for pleasure?

this kid in my class was saying how he killed a goose with alka seltzer, and it almost made me cry and i think of how humanity is so sick that they think its funny to put a living being through pain.

Torturing animals for fun is a symptom of serious mental illness - you would be doing this kid a favor if you spoke with his school councellor or teacher anonymously and told them what he's been up to.

sadists torture animals for pleasure because when a child has an experice involving some other experience (ie: prepubecent sexual urges combined with hurting animals) these feelings (im the child is young enough) get shortfused together then the sadist gets sexual gratification from hurting animals.

Some people are just demented. Studies have shown that most serial murderers, and inmates on death row tortured animals. Enough said.
