Never seen bacon rashes sold in packet as 2 or 4 (UK)0.... wonder why ?

I love to shop at my local butcher, if I only need 2 x slices of GOOD bacon - I can have it.

I know they are a bit more expensive. But you will never beat the quality or taste.

Stuff Tesco and the likes. Fresh is best.

They do 6 or 8 rashers to make 200 or 250gm, but buy 2 from the Deli counter

bacon comes in 12 & 16ozs. about 20 slices,,,.then in multi lbs like 3# and 10#
in many stores that have butchers or the deli,,, in any bulk ...

You can get miles better bacon from the butcher. Then you can buy as many or as few slices as you want.

goes back to pounds and ounces,we used to ask for half a pound of bacon and this was always cut so that it gave you 8 slices unless you asked for it to be cut thicker

Interesting...never seen it done that way, so I really can't answer the question.

Here in the U.S., it's sold by the pound.
