Not replace but work with or serve for other missions. No machine can replace human instinct and no human can withstand as much abuse as a machine. What i mean is without having to worry about a pilots safety how many Gs could we push our fighter jets to withstand? I think unmanned aircraft's would give us another big edge but I don't believe it should replace manned aircraft's in the military.

A great concept, but sadly we would still need pilots orbiting the battlefield. With the rapidly changing unpredictable aspects of battle, HUMINT will always be a must. Predator pilots are disconnected and suffer from tunnel vision from what they can observe through thier displays.
Also they're hampered from having the brass nearby and directing how they should fight as opposed to the autonimity a pilot has in the cockpit; thus impacting the improvisation needed to effectively fight a battle.

Another consideration to make (no matter how cold) is the cost. It costs a lot less to replace a $100,000 investment the AF may have in a pilot (base pay, housing, benefits, college education) than a multi-million dollar mechanical pilot, who would have to be replaced, maybe even due to a malfunction. People don't malfunction, need to be serviced, and are much easier to replace than machines.

When these unmanned aircraft can do the job effectively, and keep Airmen out of harms way, yes. But I don't know if they are quite as good as an experienced pilot yet.

there is a program running in Iraq right now where the Army is testing the viability of unmanned tracked "RC cars" that have shotguns and light assault rifles attached. when unmanned aircraft and unmanned RC Cars do our fighting for us we will have reached the pinnacle of arrogance.
then we will finally know for sure why they hate us and why they use the tactics that they use.
