The link below includes the design that set the World's Record for longest time aloft.

You might have problems traveling only 5 feet in 11 seconds.

Take your paper and turn it sideways in front of you so the 11" dimension from left to right in front of you. Take the two corners that are farthest away from you. Bring them together over the center of the page, about 2" from the edge closest to you. The two edges that were the straight 11" dimension should meet exactly in the middle of the 11" dimesnion. Do not fold the paper. Use a small piece of tape to stick the two corners down to the sheet. Since the paper is not folded, the curves will form two cylinderical sections that create the airfoil. The 2" width that sticks out is the tail. You do not throw this plane, you lift it as high as you can and drop it or give it a gentle push forward. You can experiment with exactly where to tape the two corners down to change the design.

Good luck

I would suggest making it like a glider with larger wings. then cut down some flaps in the back so the wind will push it backwards, slowing it down
