Really?
If memory serves right the Americans have aided us in the past, and now we're aiding them.
Yes America has accidentally killed British soldiers in Iraq.....but blue on blue incidents are not limited to the US. Only a few months back a British pilot dropped a bomb on an American patrol in Afghanistan killing several of them.
It's a sad fact of war that accidents such as those will carry on.
And besides with your use of grammar you really shouldn't be criticizing ANYONE.

I think the OP should crawl back under a rock and stay there. As for the US fighting force, a vast majority of US forces are well trained and well diciplined. In every army, as in life you get bad eggs, but that is to be expected. Ignore this guy he is just trolling.
As for you yanks saying you save Britains *** in WWII, I beg to differ.
Britain stood alone for 2 years, holding out against the Axis. When the Americans finaly entered the war, after Pearl Harbour. Britain was allready safe, they had won the Battle of Britain and the invasion of the mainland was postponed as the Axis turned toward the Soviet Union.
Yes the American did help greatly to defeat the Axis, but to say they stopped us speaking German, is a bit too simplistic.
Don't forget that the Soviets lost a lot more troops than the rest of the Allies combined.

"we helped them out over their stupid battle with the twin towers..." Seriously, how many Brit firefighters flew across the Atlantic to rescue people from the twin towers, anyhow? Somehow, I seem to have missed that newsflash.
Less seriously, "Thank you so much, oh precious UK for helping us with our stupid battle with the twin towers - those nasty towers were really getting the best of us before you came along and showed them what's what!"
About the comment that members of the American military are overpaid: all I can do is LAUGH. Until a soldier has been in for at least 10 to 15 years, if he is married and has any children at all, his income is most likely to be below the poverty level.

Is your other name on here Peter M? If not you must have gone to the same school he did.
My guess is you have never served in the British military, and have never worked with the Americans at all, correct? If you make assumptions based on so called "news" reports then you are sadly misinformed. The news is there for one reason, to report NEGATIVE information to make the public think nothing is going right.
Before you go ranting about someone killing your countrymen get all of your facts straight. Taking some English classes might help too.
The Scottish, Irish and the tiny unorganized American militia all kicked someone's @$$. WWI & WWII a losing effort until someone joined the fight.
I have worked with several British military and they do not show the bitter resolve that you have. I also work with Canadians, who are stationed in Afghanistan, and they too are most enjoyable to work with.

Unfortunately the US army has never been the best when it comes to fighting on the ground irrespective of their superior technology.
The US army is both the best and worst in the world. When it comes to technology, logistics, air support and bases around the world they are indeed the best, however when it comes to applying this technology and fighting and military discipline sadly they leave a lot to be desired and normally kill civillians and allies. In 2004 they took the Iraqi city of Falluja, however in this urban warfare the Americans had to resort to using chemical weapons and generally only killed civillians.
A severe lack of discipline and unfounded belief that they are invincible is one of their many shortcomings as a fighting force, lets be honest they got beaten in Somalia and shows how good they really are!

I take it most of the answers are from the U.S.
Well this is not. They helped us with lend lease before 12/7/1941. Having them over here, over sexed and over paid also helped with the deterrent during cold war. You must realise when muck and bullets are flying mistakes happen. The modern U.S. military is very professional, and U.K. copied them in a lot of procedures. A lot of our modern armaments are of U.S origin. They do not blow up in mid air like our 40 year old aircraft.

Check your math. Based on the number of friendly fire incidents and the number of personnel in theater, the British forces have a much greater rate of fratricide than the Americans.
