you should get CoD 4 better online and offline but the guy who answered before me is a noob
CoD 4 is NOT WW2
Resistance is more WW2 just set in England as opposed to FRance and with wierd guns and aliens instead of nazis and period weapons

Resistance is a lot more like Halo, it has Sci-Fi themes to it with a lot of cool guns that aren't too realistic. The single player mode is lengthy and the AI can be difficult on higher levels. Online play is amazing, server works beautifully and you can find the match you want any time of the day.
Call of Duty on the other hand is much more realistic. They use actually military issue guns and it only takes a couple of shots to kill your opponent. I haven't had much experience with the single player mode, but the online for this game is fantastic. Right now everyone on my friends list is playing this game.
I would say it depends on your own personal preference. Both games have a great assortment of weapons and excellent online play. However, Call of Duty is more realistic and Resistance is more extravagant.

Offline COD 4 ..Online Resistance fall of man, better gaming choices and quicker getting into games even ranked.

If you want a action packed blown up sh** experience get Resistance but if you want another world war 2 game then get Call Of Duty 4

Call to duty 4 hands down. i've personaly read several reviews about both and found that for a first person shooter nothing is better then call to duy 4.
