If a medicine says "Take with a full glass of water" is juice or soda OK as well????????

....the med should be taken with water as directed...some meds need water as a "carrier" for proper absorption, some are not absorbed as well if the pH in the stomach and digestive tract is altered as some juice will do(grapefruit juice is notorious for altering absorption of many drugs)...so without knowing what the specific drug is, it's hard to advise whether juice or cola would hinder or enhance digestive absorption...appropriate thing would be to stick with H2O as directed............joz............

When taking any kind of Medicine, it should be with a glass of Water, or if you want to drink Juice with it, I do not think it matters as long as it is not with Soda, because soda contains Caffeine, and it might make a reaction with the medicine.

I would take the medicine with water or juice.
But if it was time to take it and you only had soda I would still take it. i wouldn't do this all the time.

I would take water or juice like it says. The caffiene from the soda may interact with your medicine and not be a effective.

Don't drink with water, I take about 10 pills a day. I have skin allergies. Just drink juice or soda.
