i have dried brown lentils and i don't know how to re-hydrate them or cook them can anyone sugest any thing please?

re hydrate them by soaking overnight covered. Drain and rinse well. Boil for at least 30 minutes to cook. then you can add anything you want.

Search for Indian Dal Recipes, basicly Lentils, onions, garlic, and some curry spices .

pick through them to remove any small stones
wash in a sieve or colander
cook like rice, in an excess of water
cooked lentils can be added to all sorts of things like soup or stew
lentils can also be seasoned and served as a side dish
