I love being single! My time is my own and I have no responsibility to anyone other than myself. Don't get me wrong---I enjoy the company and companionship of others. But I do like my independence.
You ask what else is left if you don't like drugs, alcohol, bars, or casual sex. How about the arts (literature, music, etc) or physical activity? Read a book. Read the newspaper. See a movie. Take a class somewhere. Take a walk. Join a gym. Go outside and enjoy nature. Work on your career. Volunteer somewhere and help someone out. Develop your interests and you will a) not feel so miserable for being single and b) might attract someone you'd like to date.

I don't know. I like alcohol, bars and casual sex so I enjoy being single. I can do whatever (and whoever) I want and I don't have to answer to anyone. Single life is the best.

Umm...since when do you have to be in a relationship with someone in order to be happy? I'm single and just doing the things I love like dancing and hanging out with my friends makes me happy. Yeah, it would be nice to have a boyfriend, but I'm not going to go on a manhunt to find one. I don't understand why you'd be so miserable about being single that you have to go get drunk off your a** and do drugs in order to feel better.
And honestly, being single isn't that bad. I can flirt and look at guys all I want without having a boyfriend tagging along and having to spend every waking minute with him.

Oh my gosh what isn't great about being single? I have been married and in serious relationships but nothing compares with the joy of being able to live your own life WITHOUT COMPRIMISE!!!!!
Think!! I do not know you, but I will bet when you are with some one you give up something of yourself...why?? Is that really what life is about? Is that happiness? I do not think so. Every time we give up something to make someone else happy we are putting that person above us and we are doomed to failure.
Believe in yourself! Get to know yourself. Fulfill your destiny on this world without compromise. The world with thank you and you will learn to love yourself. And then my friend true love will find you! Good Luck!

I'm not single at the moment, but when I was, it was great! I hung out with my friends, went to parties, to concerts, and I just lived it up. When you're single, you're able to find out more about yourself and what you want in a partner.

Being single didn't suck for me. I enjoyed time with my friends and time for myself. I started dating again a while back and I find it to be difficult these days to find time for myself.
