and even following the said something around the room. I cant see whatever she is looking for. Last night she "saw" this on the landing and she watched it until it stood beside my bed. I am getting a little scared. Any suggestions?

it's likely to be a ghost, if there dog is not barking at it then it's probably friendly, maybe someone you knew and loved or your guardian angel. my cats sense something on my landing when i am in bed and the kitten even miows at it an tries to rubs against whatever it is. as it's looking over your bed it's more likely to be your guardian angel than a ghost,

it sounds as though there might be a demonic presence in the home. Animals can sense sometimes when something is there. I really don't know what to tell you because depending on whether you believe in such things or if you follow any religion, I cannot give you any advice. But I would suggest maybe talking to the pastor of a nondenominational or pentacostal church, you could maybe find some help there. Sorry I couldn't help you more.

p.s. i would like to point out that whether it truly be something or not, not all demonic presences are harmful, some spirits are peaceful and just reside in a place where it is the territorial right. however this would be because some sort of door has been opened by someone in the home. for instance, the spirit of smoking, lying, even fear or depression... yes, i am serious, those are all spirits not everything is a clinical problem or addiction from choice, although there are still true clinical problems and such. I'm not saying that this presence is anything like that but just be aware if it really is there there could be a number of reasons, not just to haunt you.

There might be a mouse or insect crawling around that humans can't see or hear.

One time, my dog barked like crazy at our outdoor tool shed. It was filled to bursting with potentially dangerous stuff, so we couldn't let her in it, but, thinking that there might be an intruder inside, we cautiously opened it (baseball bat at the ready!) and found nothing. Then, the dog broke free of my sister's grip, charged into the shed, and came out dragging an apparently dead opossum! Of course, the creature was probably faking it, so we put it in a garbage can and called animal control. There were no other animals in the shed, which, naturally, we cleared out, but we couldn't understand how the critter got in there! There were no holes or opennings, anywhere!

Unlike humans, animals don't "imagine" things when they are awake. The respond to stimuli that, per the above, we can't perceive.

Have someone (your parents?) investigate this.
If they can't find anything, call the "X-Files" people! ;)

Hi, I wouldn't`t worry to much about it my dog dose the same thing.
My grandad died a while back, and a couple of weeks later when I was sitting in the front room my dog started barking and standing close to the corner of the room, there was some sort of presence there but only for a couple of seconds.
(there was no object that I could see in the corner.)
dogs can see things people can`t,
my dog did the same thing a few weeks later but somewhere else in the house.

hope this helps.

My 2 dogs do exactly the same and even bark at something in the house. Don't feel scared whatever it is cannot hurt you. They do say dogs are more sensitive and pick up on these things. Would you be scared if the dog wasn't there? Don't worry about it.

My dog does the same. She looks at something in the corner of our living room - they do see things we don't. They still have that 7th sense that we don't have. Don't be scared. Even if there is a presence of some kind (i'm not a fruit loop honest!) don't let it worry you. If it was malignant, you'd have known it by now. Your dog isn't barking at it is she? She isn't growling, her hackles aren't up? It'll all be fine.

its not a ghost or nothing like that, because they don't exist.
dogs have very sensitive hearing and can hear many more things than us, and due to the shape of there ears they tend to face the direction of the sound that they want to listen to, it could have been a distant car driving by that your dog was straining to hear, or people shouting, anything,
don't worry about it though you aren't being haunted
your dog is just bored trying listen to something that it finds interesting
its not a ghost

The dog might hear something- noise from outside, maybe the hum from the refrigerator , or even mice. Animals tend to look in the direction of the sound they hear to try and figure it out. Or maybe she sees a tasty bug. My dog loves those.

It might be a ghost you never know im not often sure if i believe in ghosts but i once heard that if a dog is barking or looking at something in a way it normally doesn't and you can't see it, it is likley to be a ghost i don't know if this is true but i wouldn't be to worried ghosts don't set out to hurt you.

I wouldn't worry too much. If it is seeing a spirit, spirits can't hurt you... they can cause you to hurt yourself if you get scared of them and do something crazy but they can't actually hamr you physically of their own accord. And your dog will protect you. If it were a bad spirit I'm sure your dog would be doing more than following it around and staring at it. It would at least make a fuss.
