How well do little cheapy lasers work?? Any problems with wavelength not showing up well?? I was thinking about using various tips to light a subject. Maybe a person, maybe refected in smoked reflective glass.

Has anyone shot a "fire twirler"(sp??). Any unforeseen problems, or suggestions??

How about fiber optic lighting? Suggestions??

I found lasers too pinpoint for my taste.

I have always used flashlights with halogen bulbs and then projected the light through colored gels.

Sorry, I do not have experience with the twirlers or Fiber Optics.

I plan to try some of the super bright colored LEDs at some point.

I've done quite a bit of light painting with laser pointers, and my only complaint against them is the color. The brightness can be altered by the ISO, aperture and shutter you use.

I don't think you'd have a problem. I'd say you'd have similar setups that you'd use to shoot fireworks.
