Because Jesus taught love. Jesus IS love. And if you love, you will find your way to God, even if you don't use the terms "Jesus" or "God" or "saved" or "I vote republican."

According to Christian theology, Jesus united God and man through the incarnation, and overcame the power of death in the resurrection. The thing is, if John is correct in asserting that Jesus died as a propitiation for the sins of all, then salvation does not depend on personal belief, but on the actual act that Jesus performed.

It is not the only way! All religions have their own profits and their own belief system. These are a result of culture, and the region they're from.Jesus is the last in the line of all profits, therefor he said to the remaining unbelievers, This is your last chance, through Me you have a way to god! God intended for the Christian religion to be born so he could save the remainder of his people! Just like he intended all the other religions that worship him to be formed. One is more ancient then the next, different names are no different than a word or object from another culture,like; Bon is French for Good.etc...

Christians believe that the only way into heaven(to God)is through knowing Jesus Christ and accepting him into your live and living the way he would want you to.so the only way to God is by knowing and accepting the Lord as your Savior.

If the question is sincere the answer is simple, all authority has been given to him from the father in heaven the only thing needed to be understood here is that G-d's voice has uttered from his holy mountain and his word from jerusalem, those who have been called hear his voice and his elect follow his word.
The meaning to this message is that it has been given for you to know the mysteries of the kingdom but it has not been given unto them. As it has been said: If this message is hid it's hid to those that are lost.

Even if you do not believe in God your spirit will still go to the after life and you will have progressed.

Why did god wait over either 4000, for young earthers, or 200,000, for the rest of us, years to make the only way available?

Yeah yeah, I know someone is going to make a weak argument of how Jesus makes himself known in super mysterious ways even to cultures that even heard of him, and to people who existed even before he was even born.
