Everyday, I wake up and feel so TIRED! I cannot feel tired no matter what I do! Strangely when I talk to people I don't feel tired at all, but once i'm alone, I feel tired and don't feel like doing anything! Is it maybe because I am depressed? I try to think positive thoughts to overcome my depression but it's barely helping when I'm at home all alone. Could it be because im lacking nutrients? I eat A LOT. I never argue about what kind of food is at my home. Ironically, I don't like to eat unhealthy food that much. Candy, cup cakes, ice cream, etc, i won't eat em much. Strangely, when i was a kid, i had SO MUCH ENERGY in me! I felt so great back then. But once I was in my middle - high school Jr year, I played computer games 10-13 hours a day. Now i don't because i finally stopped thankfully. At that time, i didn't eat food or even have good hygiene. That probably did affect my body. Is there a way I can go back to the good ol' days as a kid with lot of energy?

Yes, actually I was depressed BECAUSE i couldn't talk to people. Strangely, when I was younger, say elementary and middle school, I said w/e that was on my mind! And maybe that's why i had so much energy because i was NEVER ALONE! I have a brother who company me at home but not anymore because I had to move to illinois because I had bad grades and couldn't stay away from computer games in Virginia. Now where i live, I have my dad but i barely talk to my dad and i dont have a gf either. I need to talk to people. Today, we had a partner discussion where we needed to draw a clock on a paper and have "appointments" with them. So anyways I was arranged with 2 girls and 1 guy the guy being my friend. So anyways when i talked with them, i felt so great! I finally said what's on my mind. But when i'm in class i don't talk unless told to. I became like a diseased robot. I wasn't like this at all when i was younger. I seriously need help. I don't have my own doctor either ='(. help!

Thank you all for these thoughtful answers. I wish I can talk to people like I am now in school. I used to talk to random people and laugh and joke about things. Now i'm act like an anti-social person. I seriously need more self-esteem and self-confidence. I do eat healthy food most of the time so it's probably not the food thats affecting the way i am now. I know i'm depressed. When I have an exam or homework, i can't concentrate. Few days ago, I had an ACT test which was actually my last chance to improve on my scores. I couldn't concentrate after the first section! WIth my current overall GPA and ACT score, I wont be accepted to any decent or even normal colleges! I have so much stress and work that I have to do which piles with my depression. Again I thank all of you for these kind and thoughtful ideas. I WISH I CAN BE OUTGOING AND ABLE TO TALK TO PEOPLE AGAIN...... sigh.. Now i have to go to my next class. Thank you all.

First and FOREMOST, see a Dr. Have bloodwork done to make sure you are not anemic.

After that, it may be time to find someone to discuss your problems with. Someone you trust, such as a priest, counselor or even a therapist. It may be something as simple as a mild depression, but could develop if not treated. Please check into this.

get a good amount of exercise everyday, you will be amazed how much just exercise can help you feel better all around. a thirty minute walk a day can help with your energy levels, depression, anxiety, and of course help drop those few extra pounds we all dream of losing. exercise is one of the best things for the mind and body. I am sure you were more active when you were a kid then you are now right? also take a good Multi-vitamin because even if you are eating a lot it doesn't mean that you are getting enough of what you need. and if that doesn't bring you up to the par that you want then do go and see your doctor and see what he/she can do for you. to me honestly it doesn't sound like you have an iron deficiency problem, I am often anemic and when that tired hits you it doesn't matter who is around!

DK,

Normally I wrote funny, sarcastic answers to questions on here... but I am going to give a serious answer to this question. It sounds like you have been hit with depression, I spent many, many years of my life suffering from depression. I got onto medication (Zoloft) and it helped an awful lot, but I still have days like that. It can be so rough to do something as simple as get out of bed or go outside because you have no energy to do so or the thought of doing whatever it is fatigues you and your mind. Try to get onto some medications and see if that helps you, there are so many great medications out there for depression... go and see your family doctor until you can get in with a physcatrist who can really put you on the correct medications.

It is possible that what you did as a kid is effecting you now.

But more likely, you are suffering from depression. You might even have the kind of depression that comes from not being out in the sun enough. So try to get out more, and see a psychologist about treatment.

A good, healthy, balanced diet won't hurt either.

Good luck!

It could be lack of self-esteem, depression or maybe you just need something to focus on that you can get interested in?

You probably should just go get a check-up and ask your doctor anyhow. Sometimes people have thyroid issues and that sort of thing that causes the fatigue and such without you even knowing it.

If you eat ALOT , I'll assume your overweight or just out of shape. You could have SLEEP APNEA. I have it and it can really screw you up and make you tired constantly. The fooball player Rice who played with the Bucs when he died, was found to have died from complications related to his sleep apnea. Go to the doctor and ask for a sleep study. Good luck.

It somewhat relies upon on what motives your brother's bronchial asthma. Mine is often dirt and warm climate. yet i think of the known technique is applying the administration inhaler.
