Stay at home for as long as you can, i am 17 and still live at home i hate it sometimes but you don't have the worry or rent, mortgage, electricity, gas, council tax, water and all the other debts that come along with having your own place. Just use your friends place as a weekend hide out or stay a few times in the week. Don't move out just yet wait a few until you have decent job and in a steady relationship.

STAY AT HOME!!, and dont leave untill you're dragged out kicking and screaming. You might have more freedom if you move out but you won't be able to afford it after you've paid all rent, bills etc etc and you'll have no time after working, housework etc, besides all your mates will move out so you can just crash with them safe in the knowledge you can go home to home cooked meals and clean clothes with a full wallet!!.

what friend allows a young girl to move in with them? I sometimes think you "kids" really do think you are all too smart for us parents...but hey, get out there before you teenage years are over, (all teenagers are too clever, know all the answers and everything about life) because after these years you will not have all the clever answers anymore....then you will be in the same category like us "old" stupid parents

Your only 17 !!!!!!!!!!!! Once you are out on your own its going to be hard. Rent, Car payment, cable, utility bills, cell phone, gas, groceries, insurance and credit card bills. Girl you have it made living at home with the "oldies". you wait and find out. trust me there is no rush for you to leave the nest.

Moved out before my 20th birthday.
It isn't crap that they don't allow you to move out.
They are legally still responsible for you until after you turn 18 then you can do whatever you want since that will make you and adult and no longer under their guidance.

yep i agree with most answers - stay as long as you can. it doesnt matter how much money you have worked out you will have left after bills etc - it will be alot less in reality believe me. i moved out at 22 to get married and that was a good age as i had had a few years to spend all my money on whatever i wanted. stay with your parents a while.

"Oldies"?!?!
Show some respect for your elders.
(I am 42 and have not lived with my parents for 23 years. My dad is 82 and has dementia --he does not even know who I am some days.Appreciate your parents while you have them...)
*Edit*--Sorry,I am in the USA--language problems across the pond again:-)
