I'm especially interested in answers from the guys who thought they'd never want kids and changed their minds. How old were you and what do you think made you change your mind? Did it happen quick or slowly? Do you have kids now and, if so, are you happy you changed your mind?

My guy never wanted kids and the doctors told me I couldn't get PG, so we were perfect for one another. Well the doctors were wrong, I got PG. When I told him, he automatically thought I would abort because no one wants to be a single mom and he didn't want kids. Well after 14 years of trying through previous marriages, you don't abort just because you get knocked up. I gave him time to decide; in or out; either he was in or he was out, but I was keeping the baby. Didn't matter to me. He chose in, though we don't share the daily care responsibilities, I do all that; you can tell that he's glad I chose to have her. He says it all the time and is starting to want to take on more of the daily chores when he can.

My husband decided after seeing his brand new neice that he was ready to have children. He still wants to wait two more years though. But seeing the baby definitly made him want to be a daddy.

im not a guy..lol but i know what made my hubby change his mind. of course i wanted kids right away. he wanted to wait until we could afford kids. but the day his best friends wife gave birth and we went and saw it. he came home and said ok im ready...lol

I was old, very old. I don't wanna tell you my age, but junior enters kindergarten next year and I attended high school when Hippies roamed the Earth.
Waiting was the best decision of my life (and my son's).

my hubby never wanted kids, till he met me. when are daughter is born he will be 37.
