In reality, I'm quite small. Not REALLY small, and I don't feel that small as a person, I'm just quite a petite lady and I won't grow any bigger.
Anyway so, I dreamt I was tall. I think I was wearing a dress I actually own and some of my sisters high heels, looking quite glamorous (which is a never for me because I'm quite tomboy) but yeah, I was really noticeably taller and towering over my friends.
What does this mean?

Perhaps you associate tall with power? If that is the case, I'd say that you are the leader of your friends, and your mind wanted you to know that. If your friends are mostly guys, I'm willing to bet that they find you rather attractive and that your subconcious has picked up on this. Why not try wearing a dress and heels sometime? See if it makes you feel "taller" around your friends. See how the guys in your clique respond.

I believe that most dreams are God trying to speak to our hearts. He is speaking to you that even though you are petite, small in stature and tomboyish on the outside; He is revealing to you what you are on the inside. Strong, tall & beautiful. In fact your spirit on the inside is more beautiful and strong than that of your friends. If you don't feel like that is what you are right now, he is probably revealing your future to you.
It says in Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you says the Lord. Plans to give you a hope and a future.
He already knows the end from the beginning.

Your dream can mean two things ;; are you absolutely sure that it does not bother you to be a small woman because if it does its a compensatory dream But if it does not it mean success and love
