Does anyone know of any organizations or law offices that help immigrants? Very often, those who are new in our country are taken advantage of (by their employers, people trying to sell them something, etc.) because they don't know the language or understand the way things work. I think it's awful for people to be cheated like that, and I was wondering if you all knew of any organizations that helped to protect people against con artists, etc. I don't mean organizations looking to legalize or grant amnesty to illegals; I mean to help those law abiding, ignorant, and unsuspecting peoples who came here for a better life, but are being treated horribly because they don't understand their rights.

When they are here illegally they do not have rights. That's just the way it works. I know of a guy that was getting ready to be deported and was in jail. He was separated from the other inmates and wasn't given a phone call or the same treatment as the other legal citizens that were in jail. I do feel bad at times when I do see some people getting riped off, but if they don't take the time to learn English when they get the classes for free, well then, that's their fault.

Don't understand what you're looking for, the United States Government helps all legal immigrants. If you are looking for help for illegal or immigrants with problems that they can't get resolved by taking the right steps, there really isn't any problem solvers without paying out alot of money. Where do you come up with this idea that new immigrants have rights. Their rights are limited until such time they establish themselves, start working, paying taxes. I think that is one of the biggest problems with immigrants now days, they come to the United States thinking and wanting by rights to get everything they need. If you look back many years ago at what the immigrants had to do in order to stay in the United States, you might better understand why people are so upset with what is taking place with immigrants nowdays.,

Very important to speak the language.
There are a myriad of lists of lawyers who speak Spanish, or other languages.
If they are illegals, too bad. It's interesting that a lot of them know how to sue, regardless of knowing the language. They don't seem to need protection, they know how to work the system well on their own.

If they came here illegally than they should have no problem with there paper work>But overstay & illegal they need help leaving>Besides they have No rights if illegal>Have them go to immagration that's free for them>

You could contact your local YWCA and see if they offer an outreach program for immigrants. Also, Even Start or anywhere that teaches ELL may have programs in place.

Only the mexican consulate, or Maldef and Lulac. The main purpose of immigration was to only allow immigrants who don't require 'help'.

why dont you take a look a t your own back steps of your country.. such as homless people dont worrie about immagrants ..all they need is some good birth control to help there problems
