The car can't detect anything... That's why they are not allowed out on the street without a driver at the controls.

Ultra sonic Waves just like back-up sensor it is a great concept I drove one of the beamers that has the automatic cruise control it will sense when someone is in front of you and slow down and when they get out of your way it will speed back up to where you have it set. I drove on the highway for like 2 1/2 hours and only touched the breaks when I went to get off the highway

mine detected a tree limb this morning with the bumper..
i detected it right after i hit it
