Why should we continue to go to work when we don't like it? For a nation of complacent people on meds who uniformly hate their jobs, I see a lot of people answering that they should continue getting smacked in the head when they don't like getting smacked in the head. You, Question Asker, are not getting smacked down so you should stay until you do one thing - conquer death.
You don't sound crazy, you sound like you know what's going on. You just can't suppress it like most people do because most people aren't as aware as you are. Their genetics don't allow them to respond to the environment in the same way kind of like how a retarded kid wouldn't understand something an average kid would.
In order to conquer your anxiousness, you need to conquer death. Part of the way to do that is to learn how to defend yourself and learning to hit someone so hard their eyes will pop out of their head. Go take a mixed martial arts class. When you know you're already dead by living a life of fear, you have taken the first step towards learning how not to be afraid of death. In turn, that will make people respect you because it will allow you to do things only the extremely brave, extremely stupid or extremely drugged up can do. While you are very sensitive, that quality will allow you to achieve things most people cannot. Ultimately, even if you are driven out or leave the school, you will be able to move on to achieve anything because you fear nothing except your own power and the power of your Creator. You were gonna quit, anyway, what have you got to lose? Bottom line is that you ultimately need a new line of work, one that gets your heart racing and is challenging.
You think I'm crazy? I am. Try a little, you might like it.

If you know you have Bipolar disorder then you must have been diagnosed as having Bipolar disorder. You should think carefully before you quit your job;Do you have a new job to go to?have you discussed this with your family? You may think your alone but that is only your perception (you did say your kids liked you, so you must be doing something right),and you should not miss your appointments.

i understand how you feel, i have suffered from depression for a while now and they also say im bipolar as well. you just need to talk to your doctor and figure out what is best for you. i know it's hard, and i don't want to tell you what to do but maybe you need a break from work or a different routine. i had a demanding job until we (me and my husband) moved to another state for military (he is a Marine) i know that situation is different because you said your husband doesn't work, i just wanted to say that when we moved i havent found a job and realized that what i needed was some time off to find myself and figure out what i want good luck to you and i hope you make the right decision

I started hating my job after 3.5 years but decided to suck it up until I could find another job, even though I didnt tell anyone at work about that I was let go about 2 months later for" not being a team player" Even though I was doing the monitoring for the whole department and there was no team I was the only one doing QA for them. So look for another job first! Ive been now unemployed for 5 weeks and it sucks!!
Good luck in whatever you choose!

I think you should suck it up, we all get depressed at sometime of year, I absolutely hate this time of year, I am broke, cant pay my bills and am expected to buy Xmas gifts for my kids and grand kids, so that means more debt on Credit cards, and means I struggle for another year to get the card back down just to charge on it again,
I also hate my job for the past 26 years, but I still come in,
good luck

Wow. In reading your question it sounded just like my writing...
I understand. I have been diagnosed as depressed with anxiety disorder and Axis 1 & 2 Bipolar Disorder. I am going through this, and it's HELL. I don't know what to tell you as I don't know what to do myself. I refuse to go back on meds, they ruined me...but this is the alternative, I guess.
Best of luck to you. If you need someone to relate to, which it sounds like you do...add me and we can write.
Best of luck,

Well i think you should get down to your psychiatrist as soon as possible.He/she can give you much better advice than us.We do not know you personally or know about your past.
But,from a strangers point of view i think you should face your fears and go int your job.If you quite then,it will make your life so much harder.
See your psychiatrist and improve your life.

Go see the doc there has to be something wrong in your meds and they can fix it for you.. As long as you are not a threat to yourself or anyone else they won't put you in the hospital.
