We are not very close. I would like to get them a gift card from Target. How much would be an appropriate amount? I prefer to err on the side of generous.... but I'd rather know what the standard is? Thanks!

You would be better of getting them something generic like candle sticks, a vase, or picture frame. Then you can spend as little as you want at Target, Ross, Steinmart, Marshalls or TJ Maxx and they will never know that you didn't spend a fortune.

Check and see if she is registered at Target for her wedding. If she is then any amount from $25 to $75 is approriate. You can buy alot of nice things for your home at Target and the registry is fun......

$50 is always a good magic number for me.

But give however much you want to and can afford.

If its only $20, then do $20.

$50 is a great gift for someone that you are not close to.

$25 is good for a not so close friend. Or check where she is registered for gifts.

$50 is usually a good, round number. Not too cheap, not too much.
