First you should try finding a tactful way to explain Imperialism, America's support for brutal dictators like Musharraf, King Abdullah of Jordan, Mubarak (and by the way, Saddam was a US ally back in the day against Iran), America's support for Israel (that created an illegitimate state on stolen land), and America's hoarding of natural resources in Islamic lands to them.
Maybe then they'd stop being so "envious" of the "superior" (in being a brute) west.
