Does anyone think they could help me? I get the crust on the outside of my nose during the 3rd stage (3rd day) of my cold or flu. Right now I'm on the 4th stage (4th day) of my flu. It's disgusting and I hate it being here!!! I tried searching for a remedy of some sort but they only had stuff for dog's noses and I'm a human so that doesn't help much..Anyway please help me! This has annoyed me for a long time and its kinda awkward =( please help, thanks.

Hello. i know how annoying this is,try using some Vaseline it is a bit sticky and greasy but it does help to keep that crustiness away, and there is no smell to it.I find this is more effective than balms and stuff that you just pay for the name of,it is also really good for chapped and sore lips too. i hope you feel better soon xx

You are irritating the skin surronding your nostrils & you can alleviate this by being gentle and using softer tissues when you blow your nose.
There is a product for this sold in drugstores called Boroleum.
I will use this or A&D Ointment (this has a funny odor, so I use it at bedtime)

the crust is from over drying of the tissues, apply some sort of balm to protect the skin from the secretions, I use Mentholatum myself.
