Have you ever recurring visits from someone in your dreams?

For years I had recurring dreams of my childhood sweetheart. It would always be the same dream where we were sitting, and talking... One night, he came to me again, said he had to go, and walked away. I never dreamed of him again. I later found out that he'd died around that time. How can that be explained?

I think our dreams clue us in on a lot more than we think. I had a dream that someone ripped my heart out the night my brother died. Sorry I can't explain it though.
