Absolutely not. We should pray for the salvation of all Iranians, that the gospel about Jesus Christ will flood their land and touch their hearts. Once they are converted to Christ then they will see Israel's real plight and seek to point them to Christ as Messiah. At the moment, they claim they do tell Israel to accept Christ as their Messiah, but Moslems won't accept Christ as THEIR OWN Messiah! Talk about the blind leading the blind! Only God has the right to deal with nations. Christians are commissioned to proclaim the gospel to ALL nations before Christ returns. Big difference!

No! Instead of praying for destruction, why don't we pray for repentance, forgiveness and reconciliation? Pray for the message of hope and salvation to enter Iran. Pray so that their people can also have a chance of eternal life with Christ our Lord.
There are many misconceptions when it comes to earth's final events. Some Religions believe that Israel plays a major role and that they must protect it at all cost. wrong!
These beliefs were created in the 16th century by Loyola:the Jesuit priests,( if you don't believe me, do the research)
During the reformation era, Wycliffe, Luther, Calvin, Knox, all preached that Jesus Christ was the Messiah. They all identified the Antichrist to be the Papacy. As a result, the Jesuit priests Ribera and Alcasar started a Counter-Reformation.(Catholic writer GS Hitchcock, confirms origin)
Today, many Christians wrongly believe that the Antichrist will be a single person who will be received by the Jews and will rebuild Jerusalem. The counter reformation movement served to divert people from the truth. And it still works today. This is the reason why Israel is so important to so many Christians. Careful study of Bible prophecies and earth's final events will be the only way to be ready for the coming of the Lord. Israel plays no role in those final events. Christians, do not pray for Iran's destruction; instead, pray for them.

Christians should not pray for the destruction of anyone, it is a religion of love, even love of enemies. We pray only for positive things. If Christians pray for Iran, they should pray that those who control the country will follow the way of peace and that their minds will be opened to the truth of the Gospel of the Prince of Peace, Jesus.

Do not be daft. Islam holds beliefs similar to Christians and is a peaceful religion. It is not the religion. It is like politics where it is run by OTT nutcases who whip up the easily led to commit crimes. I can never understand why God and Allah have allowed the world to get in the state it is in. No wonder ther are so many agnostics and athiests in the world

No, I'm Jewish, I've lived in Israel, I have friends and family in Israel, but I don't wish for the destruction of an entire nation!
I just wish for 'shalom' - peace.
And just to clarify what 'fifi' said: there are a tiny minority of Jews, ultra religious ones, who thought that we weren't meant to have Israel until the real messiah comes. They do not represent Judaism. The vast majority of Jews love and support Israel. If we'd had Israel when Hitler came to power, there would have been a safe haven for all Jews and we would not have lost 6,000,000 of our people.

No, I personally don't pray for the destruction of Iran. I do pray that the leaders of all countries would lead their country in a safe way, and in a way that promotes and encourages everyone to get along with those around them. Most hatred can be overcome.

For elites who additionally take place to be christians (i assume maximum elites interior the U. S. and different western countries are christians), then there is turning out to be elite opposition to the defense force decision against Iran from respected materials.

I pray for the Salvation of the Iranian people, not their destruction. And after seeing footage of a war savaged child at the end of this sermon:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QPANKUHabx4
I want to see the war ended as soon as possible, I still support our troops, our men and women, but war in itself is a horrible thing.
And before anyone points it out, I know we are fighting Iraq, not Iran, but since this question was about destruction it made me think of war.

Some of the Apostles of Jesus preached the Gospel in Irak and established Churches that still thrive, hundreds of years before a group of fanatics? mainly in the US south started to call themselves Christian while in truth they are only crammers of the Bible.
