Dude, I'm 20 and I'm proposing to my long time girlfriend on Christmas Day, I've been looking for ideas, that sounds quite cool. I think it would be sweeter if it was gift wrapped, and it was just the ring in the package.

aww im 15 too and that is really sweet lol. thats really cute to propose on a holiday it will make her future christmas holidays more special too. But make sure you get married on a day that isnt a holiday, because it should be your special day. feel better btw=]

Guys, here are my two-cents...and I know many ladies will disagree, but you shouldn't propose and/or get married on her birthday, or Valentines, or Christmas. I think it's corny, and something like marriage should be done when it feels right, not when the next holiday comes along. People are more emotional during the holidays to begin with. That kind of emotion, the one that makes you think you want to marry someone, should be there when there is NO holiday. Then you know it's real.

I think something like this should have its own special day. I never liked the idea of getting proposed to on Christmas, or valentines etc.

Its a great idea! This season has so much romance in the air anyway, it will just add to it!!
Trust me, the whole Christmas season will bring extra special memories.
