I am taking an art class and am in need of suggestions or ideas of where I can look for ideas for a themed series of several different paintings. Are there any good books you would recommend? I know I should attend art galleries and have looked online..but I was just wondering if anyone had any good ideas that they've used? (Sorry this is so long!)

Your soul. The only place you will find real art.

You can be inspired by what you see but when push comes to shove, you will just have to do some soul searching to make it work for you. That way you can make a set of paintings from a dab of peanut butter on your toast if you feel that will work.

I know it sounds a bit far fetched but it actually works. "The beauty of peanut butter". If you see some truth in that you can paint a series of them.

Have you tried Stumble! It's a great place to search sites based on your keyword search. Rather than listing sites, it takes you to sites. It's a free add-on for Firefox and can be downloaded at http://www.stumbleupon.com/
