Excuse me to the lady before me but it was 40 kids and they didn't just drop them in the middle of nowhere with no supervision. You know that people aren't that dumb, to leave the kids all alone, who do you think held the cameras and most definately there is a person telling them what to do and they there is some one telling that person what to do. They just didn't tell the kids what to do (well for the unplanned parts) I am pretty sure CBS knows enough about lawsuits to not make sure they are safe and don't shoot each other, when angry. And by talking negative about the kids is very disrespectful for what the kids proved and they showed more civility than adults would ( who if you watch the survivor commercials following, they are plotting against each other and having alliances and stabbing everyone in the back for money that they'll do who know what. They (the kids) don't even work for the money that goes to college or their stuggling family and being a good person in the first place is the reward). People are always talking about it like they drove them to the middle of the desert let them out and said "have fun!! see you in 40 days". And the wind goddess video taped them. Well a couple since there where like 20 different angles. They didn't just whine.. they actually learned how to live on their own and not to be spoiled brats. People leave there kids at boot camp and say that the show is to hard. Hell, people pay 60,000 to send their troubled kids to 3 springs ..... and those people hate it. These kids liked it. So if you hate teaching kids to be independent then the show is terrible and CBS deserves to die. Teaching them... how to earn and that there are consequences other than being grounded and be independent well rounded kids.. thats what I like about the show. I wish I could learn a way like that.

Several sites are announcing casting calls for this already. (Including CBS.com) So YES most definitely there will be a season 2. I'm actually looking forward to it. When I was a kid I was reading at a 5th grade level at the age of four. I was camping with cub scouts and boy scouts until the age of 15. By the age of 12 I could catch my own food, clean fish and small game, build and light a fire, and cook my meals. Outside of that at home I was never taken all that seriously because I was "Just a kid". I'm glad to see a show that gives kids the chance to prove they are capable of more than adults ever want to give them credit for.

I feel bad for the other pathetic people who answered this question. The parent who complained was the potatoe girls mom since she burned her face while stealin potatoes, but theres nearly 10 pages of Terms & conditions so they cant do anything, and if it was so bad for all those kids why at the end did they love it SO much and how come SO many people wanna be in it pshh whatever. As far as Season 2 goes it already finished shooting and will air eventually. Altho i have looked into season 3 and applications for Season 3 start in March 20008..,. if there is one. hope i helped :-D

i think of they opted to no longer do a factor 2 because of the fact of all the unfavorable conterversay from season a million and that i dont think of score have been useful, even however my family contributors and that i watched it. I could supply props to all those little toddlers whilst i became their age first of could have in no way achieved any of the difficult paintings that they did and that i doubt i could have been waiting to depart my mum and dad and be with all strangers. i assumed it became a sturdy teach, yet i do no longer believe it have been given picked back up for a 2d season.

I hope so but even if there is one planned it may not pan out. I heard that one of the parents were very upset over how their children were forced to live and made a big fuss over it.

I very much doubt it, unless they change the rules slightly. They got in big trouble. It is illegal to leave kids under the age of 14 without adult supervision, and then some smart *** puts 100 kids in the middle of nowhere to fend for themselves and spose to run the town, instead they had screaming, homesick kids crying for mummy and to top it off, they put it on tv. How would you feel if you were 1 of the parents. Proud, excited your kids on tv, next minute you watch them crying for you on tv and there is nothing you can do for them at that moment. That is true heart ache. Ripps your heart right out. Thats why the producer is in big chit

I hope not; that show is horrible and the kids are screechy, whiney and annoying. Please, don't apply for that show!
