I've only heard of Jainists or Buddhists who don't kill flies.
The jains will go so far as to wear a cloth around their face to make sure they don't accidentally inhale one and kill it.

I kill flies. I don't kill spiders though. I don't think either of those things have anything to do with atheism though.

I live in Canada where the mosquitoes are the size of condors.
Not only do I kil them, I actively spare spiders so they can eat them as well.

i kill flies, fleas, mice, whatever type of pests get in my home. i also eat meat, thereby helping to kill chickens, cattle, pigs, rabbits, and whatever other types of animals get into the food.
