This is a question to those believe in life after death. I'm personnaly Christian but Muslim, Jewish, Christian, Wiccan, Buddhist, all are free to answer. To the atheists and people who don't believe in such things, I respectfully ask you not to reply. Not because your opinion doesn't matter...it's just not what I'm trying to get.

My mother died when I was 12. I'm 19 now. Do you think she remembers me? Do you think she can see me wherever she's at? Do you think that I'm still a part of her, and she's a part of me?

Do you think she'll be there when I get married and have my own children?

Thank you.

To those of you who chose to reply even though I asked you not to (not counting the atheist with a book suggestion)...please give it a rest. Do you not realize the pain I feel when I think about never seeing my mother again? Do you think I don't already know how silly this all seems? The thought of heaven is helping me get through life, so let it be. I'm not trying to convert any of you.

Yes. The Bible even refers to God's love as like the never-ending love of a mother. Your mother's love is the closest comparison for God's love, isn't that fantastic? You will always be a part of each other, in this life and the next.

Bless you. I'm sure your mom's very proud of you.

Well I am not sure about the literal (seeing you) but I think there will be, and are ways that they will be able to keep up on our progress through this earth. However as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ L.D.S. We believe family's can and will be together forever in heaven, This requires some ordnance's to be done here on earth, but the Lord, being so fair has through his servants made it possible to do those ordnance's for those who have passed on. Upon his return if those family's haven't already had a chance to be sealed together they will get a chance then. So not only does she still know how you are doing she is and always will be your mother unless you reject her or reject the ordnance's that make it possible.

Just like there are different types of Christians--there are different types of atheists. This atheist believes that there is a strong possibility of continuation after death. While there is no concrete support--the literature is replete with the paranormal. I believe the conciousness continues--so yes--I think she is still who she was. Rent the Robin Williams movie sometime "What dreams may come" for a wonderful touching emotional view of life, death, the afterlife, the concept of heaven and hell, suicide and love so strong it's willing to give up everything-even heaven.

No srry. When people die, they sleep. Which, I think, would be better than your concept of afterlife, because if your mother would be there during the good times, then she would probably suffer through the bad, and that wouldn't be such a great happy life, would it?

(Though, she will wake up on judgement day and probably will remember you then)

I think she will always be with you. I've heard plenty of first hand accounts of guardian angel type stories, and that little voice in your head that tells you not to walk down that street means someone is watching over you.

We had a party for my father Saturday, and we had a montage of pictures playing on a TV set. This one pic of my dad and my grandmom (who has been dead a few years) kept popping up more than the others. We mentioned it, and my one brother said "That's just Grandmom saying Hi." Who knows for real in this life?

I do believe that she is still there. I have had my own personal experience with this. My brother died 9 years ago and I have had many signs that he is still with me. It may be in dreams or there may be little things that happen around the house that only he would do or even a smell that was his.
I will always believe that certain loved ones will kind of hang around as our protectors and guides or even just to see how we are doing.

As per Islamic teaching if she is good women and you are also doing good deeds then angels will tell her about tahat to make her happy. If you do not do good deeds then angels will not tell her coz it will hert her and ALLAH dont want to hurt its good people. And after death you both can see each other if you both are forgiven and sent to (jannah)pradise.Scientifically your body has been evolved out of her so some genes of her will be with u.However she cannot return to you in this life.

After death, everyone is "asleep" in their grave awaiting their resurrection. There is no such thing as "living spirits" after death. This is a common misconception about what happens to us after death, and is un-Biblical to say the least....Here is some literature the may help you to understand the Biblical Truth about what happens after we die......http://www.ucg.org/booklets/AD/index.htm

I plainly don't know. I think that it is possible that your mother will know when you are married, for whatever is bound on Earth will be bound in Heaven, and I do think that she would remember you.

Yet God knows all things. He will know anything you do, and has seen it from the beginning.

I believe in the afterlife and I am a Christian.

My brother was killed by a drunk driver at 25 years old. He is alive in heaven because the Bible tells us that we will go to a place that God has prepared if we believe.

My brother is there and so is your mother. Sometimes, if you believe, they visit us on earth. Maybe you should pray to God to get her to contact you. It happens! My brother did.

I am not a flake, just a believer.
