Ibrahim religions pray to the same God. The arguments aren't so much about which God or what God as they are about how to reach that God...Methodology is what they all argue over...they tend to agree that there's only one God though...PEACE!

The question is not ARE we all praying to the same God, but do people of differing religions BELIEVE we are all praying to the same God. In my experience, the answer is no. Each religion believes their God is the only true one, and people of other religions, even if calling on the God of the same name, really aren't because they aren't following the true path that enables God to hear and acknowledge their petitions. Even differing denominations of the SAME religion believe this way. I know Baptists who believe Methodists are going to hell because they can't possibly really know God, their theology is all wrong!

Basically yes, with a few exceptions.
Most religions have a name for their God, the Christian God being named Yahweh or Jehovah in some Bible translations, while Muslims pray to Allah, and the Hindus have a pantheon of Gods - Vishnu, Krishna, Shiva and others.
All religions feel that their God is the true God. In that respect, they are all praying to the same God.

Some obvious religions like ancestry worship, Animal worship, Spirit/guide worship are different then God worship.
There is a simple test that says: Whatever you worship, you will become like that; meaning, if you worship a devil or demon, you will most likely over time display characters like a devil.
The character of God is pure love, and allthough Islam also teaches about God (Allah), the multitude of their view of Allah is certainly not love.
Neither with some christians.
you can go to church for years; and still worship a demon.
So how do you know you worship the true God?
God is more then a force. You wil reflect whatever you worship, and if you notice you'll start to reflect good charactertriats then you're on the right path.
But if you instead become bitter, hatefull towards some, agitated, annoyed, angry, lustfull, boastfull, backbiting or all these things, then most surely you're not on the right track.
Allah is as much God as one person is able to see Love, peace, righteousness, goodness, care, tenderness etc.. in him.
Because the majority of Islamic people is agressive, I personally believe they are further away from the truth; yet they hold values we long have lost: like family, marriage, faithfullness in little etc...
Christians believe Allah is a different god then the true God.
the majority of Jews will agree that their Yahweh is the same as the christian God, except for the 'trinity' issue; and Buddhists also believe the Christian god is lower then the buddha (while the christians believe the Buddha is in fact a demon deceiving many to believe in a false entity, to draw people away from God and his plan of man's redemption)

I've read that in Hinduism they believe that God is known by many different names and worshipped in many different ways, but he's still the same God. I like that idea.

I think Jews and Christians do, but really all abrahamic religions are.
Only the sepperately evolved ones are really that different, like the native american one or aboriginie and hindu.
