Depends on the situation. If the cops found a loaded gun that was otherwise being responsibly used or stored but some little law had been broken, it will be almost nothing. If 'having a loaded gun' was the charge the cops came up with when a lot of messed up stuff was going on, it could be a very big deal. If drugs were involved, it gets worse.

A LONG time, a loaded gun is no joke. Probably will do a year Minimum. pay HEAVY fines, and have probation and costs for the next 5 years. HE WILL DEFINATELY DO JAIL TIME, SO TELL THE BRAIN SURGEONS WHO ARE CARYING LOADED GUNS, TO GET PERPARD TO BE SOMEBODYS "GIRLFRIEND" IN PRISON. AND ONE MORE THING, ITS NOT JAIL, ITS PRISON.

dont know but you should get time in jail for it,theres no reason to be carrying a loaded fiream,none.you take a chance ,you get caught,pay the price.
