Offer her some popsicles. They're a great way to keep fluids in sick kids. Jello's another good idea. Not exactly nutrious foods, but if she's sick you just want to keep her hydrated. She'll make up for the eating when she feels better.

The best advice that I ever received from anyone for my kids is that they will eat when they are hungry. The best thing to do is offer your child liquids every 10 - 15 minutes. Even if it's only a sip they will get some. I really wouldn't worry about the appetite unless they haven't eaten anything at all for several days, but sometimes when they don't feel good and are in between growth spurts and don't need the calories it's ok for them to go without. I have a 3 year old son and it's amazing how he can eat everything in sight for days and then nothing for one day then back to normal! Good luck.

a multi cold med is not advised, try warm jello, broth, Popsicles, do not worry about her eating although keep offering but keep the fluids going, try Gatorade, frozen Gatorade, ginger ale, she has a cold it is that time of year i have a house full, the only meds they need is if they have a fever, Tylenol or Motrin, Campbell's soups, crackers, gummy multivitamins, water, anything wet, even just a few spoon fulls every 15 minutes is good

I had this problem with my son, but it was after he had a couple teeth removed. I couldnt get anything in him.

I froze food into pops. He always thought he was just lucky and kept getting popcicles but he really was getting alot more.
I would puree veggies and mix them with yogurt and then out them in pop trays and freeze them. He never knew and they tasted very good. He never denied to eat them. I did some with peanutbutter.
I even tried it with granola in them....they didnt look so yummy but I pulled it off and he ate them too lol.
good luck!

keep pushing liquids, popsicles are great for sick kids. she will not starve if she does not want to eat for a day or 2. when her appetite comes back you will know shes on the mend!
